Client: Adrian Vera Aleman
Company: Global Expedition Outfitters
Product: 4x4 Accessories and outings
Goal: Client wanted something that he could park jeeps and trucks under; he also wanted to promote his company and needed something that made a big statement.
Need Assessment: The canopy had to be large enough to park vehicles underneath and still have room to move people around inside. The client needed graphics and regular screen printing was not large enough.
Solution: We would use a StarShade 800 and place different scenes of Venezuela where you could off-road too. We could also use the clients logo and make it over 6’ wide on the arches.
Plan: We received the photographs of the scenic areas from the client and laid them out on the StarShade 800, we then blended the images along the edges so that we would have one continuous image around the canopy. We took the clients logo and made it over 10’ wide and placed it over 2 archways so that there was no mistaking whose StarShade this was. The printing was done at 72dpi which created a spectacular canopy when it was finished.
Results: This was only the 2nd fully digital canopy in existence at the time, and it looked like a piece of art when erected. The client was very excited and has received many compliments and is now looking at our new StarTwin 1320 for upcoming events.
Resolved Issues: Everything went smoothly with this project, except for the image files which were extremely big and hard to work with. We now supply templates to clients to design their own canopies.
